EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A  new community space dedicated to women is offering a place for people to salve their post-election grief this weekend.

The New Women Space, (188 Woodbine Ave.) a community center that opened this fall, has added group grief counseling with Christina Tesoro, a speaker who works for a hotline victims of sexual assault called a speaker with RAINN, to a regularly scheduled festival held to celebrate women writers.

Saturday's addition of grief counseling is one of the many ways that New Yorkers have responded to the results of Tuesday's presidential election — at the Diamond Bar in Greenpoint, owners have announced that they plan to donate tips to Planned Parenthood.

The group therapy session Saturday scheduled for 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. adds to full bill starting at 1 p.m. as part of the New Woman Print and Zine Fest, which will feature women writers, magazines, zines and blogs alongside tutorials on self-defense, social media and tarot.

There's a $10 suggested donation.

The New Women Space opened this fall after a successfully funded Kickstarter Campaign and hosts yoga and mindfulness classes, lectures and hosts an array of events.
