MANHATTAN — A man was shot in the leg outside the LaGuardia Houses on the Lower East Side on Wednesday morning, NYPD officials said.
The 30-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately released, was shot in the leg as he walked past 45 Rutgers St., near Madison Street, about 4:50 a.m., police said.
He was treated at Bellevue Hospital for injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, police said.
He'd been walking when he heard a bang and felt pain, police said.
It wasn't immediately clear if he was the intended target.
The victim spotted two men fleeing the scene, police said. There were no immediate arrests.
