THE BRONX — A person was struck by a train in Fordham Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said.
The rider was on the B/D train platform of the 182nd Street subway station at about 3:21 p.m. when a train entering the station struck the person's ankle, an FDNY spokesman said.
The commuter was seriously injured, officials said.
Southbound B and D trains were skipping the station after the incident.
