EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A robber kicked in the door of a neighborhood hotel, smashed a worker on the head and snatched $1,000 cash on Friday, police said.

The 36-year-old employee of the Bushwick Hotel at 171 Bushwick Ave. was rushed to Woodhull Hospital and treated for a gash on his eye following the Nov. 5 attack, which took place at around 11:30 p.m., according to police.

It wasn't immediately clear what the suspect used to hit the victim.

The NYPD is now looking for the attacker, who was captured on a security camera wearing a gray jacket, an army print shirt, blue jeans and blue sneakers.

Last year a woman was found dead in the Bushwick Hotel with bruising around her neck. Joseph Danclair, 36, was later arrested for allegedly raping two women and was linked to the death of a second woman in another hotel room.

Anyone with information can call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
