QUEENS — Police arrested a suspect they said shot and killed a 36-year-old man on a Jamaica street last Sunday, authorities said.

Moses Blake, 24, who lives about seven blocks from where the shooting took place, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal shooting of Niheen Donigan, who was found at the corner of 109th Avenue and Merrick Boulevard about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, with a gunshot wound to the head, the NYPD said.

Donigan was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Blake, who was charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and false personation, has 18 priors dating back to 2007, including robbery, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

The victim also had a long history of run-ins with the law. In 2002, Donigan was convicted of manslaughter, after fatally shooting a man in Jamaica in 2001, police said. He later served 10 years at Wallkill Correctional Facility, according to the New York State Department of Corrections records.

Police said that a dispute prompted the shooting Sunday but it was not immediately clear what the men argued about.

According to Blake's criminal complaint, he was also trying to mislead police officers when they approached him before the arrest. When they asked about his name, he said it was "Rasheed."

Information about Blake's attorney was not immediately available.
