STATEN ISLAND — A man who fatally shot a 23-year-old in the head on a Mariners Harbor street has been sentenced to 10 years in jail.

Derrick Felder, of Clifton, was sentenced Wednesday for fatally shooting Tyquan Pass, of West Brighton, in 2015, prosecutors said.

Pass was shot in the head across the street from 323 Jersey St., near Taft Avenue, on Nov. 28, 2015, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Felder, then 24, was charged with murder, assault and weapons charges. He pleaded guilty last month to manslaughter, the Staten Island Advance reported.

He'd been arrested several times before and had been out on probation for a 2013 robbery conviction when he shot Pass, the Advance reported.
