NEW BRIGHTON — A 23-year-old man was found shot in the head on a Staten Island street early Saturday, the NYPD said.

Tyquan Pass, of West Brighton, was attacked across the street from 323 Jersey St., near Taft Avenue, shortly after midnight, police said.

When officers arrived, they found Pass on the street with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead by emergency workers, police said.

On Sunday, friends started a GoFundMe campaign to help raise money to donate to Pass' sister for his funeral. So far the campaign for Pass, who went by the nickname "Twin," raised $695 of the $6,000 goal.

"Twin was friendly, energetic and his smile lit up a room," the organizer of the campaign wrote. "His death was sudden and far too soon for anyone to comprehend."

No arrests have been made in the shooting and police said an investigation is ongoing.
