WILLIAMSBURG — A pair of knife-wielding robbers snatched 21 Nike sweatshirts worth $1,150 from Modell's sporting goods store and threatened the store clerk who tried to chase after them, according to police.

The thieves snuck into Modell's at 4 Graham Ave. at around 10 p.m. on Oct. 21 and collected 21 blue and green men's thermal hoodies each worth $55 from the racks, than darted out of the store, police said.

An employee chased after them, but one of the robbers brandished a knife, police said.

"Is this worth losing your life over?" the robber threatened.

The store worker backed down and the two fled in a white Nissan Alitma, according to police. No one was injured in the robbery.

Now investigators are searching for the pair, thought to be in their late teens, who were captured on the store's security cameras.

Workers at Modell's couldn't be reached immediately for comment.

Anyone with information can call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
