NEW YORK CITY — Former Congressman Anthony Weiner is reportedly seeking help for sex addiction at a rehab center, the Daily Mail reported Wednesday.
Weiner, who was recently linked to the Hillary Clinton email investigation, has checked into an unnamed center that treats those addicted to cybersex and exhibitionism, and bans electronic devices, the Mail reported.
Weiner has a history of sexting scandals — his cellphone was reportedly subpoenaed as the result of exchanging inappropriate texts with a 15-year-old girl.
Weiner, who is currently separated from his wife, top Clinton aide Huma Abedin, was the subject of a probe that unearthed new emails that the FBI is now reviewing in connection with the Democratic presidential nominee.
The FBI had closed its investigation into Clinton's use of a private server during her time as Secretary of State, but the revelation on Friday that the FBI was once again looking into Clinton's emails has caused controversy with election day fast approaching.
Weiner previously sought treatment in 2011, the Washington Post reported.
