Woman Groped in Elevator by Man Who Followed Her Into Queens Building: NYPD

QUEENS — Police are searching for a man who followed a 23-year-old woman into her building in Forest Hills and groped her inside an elevator last week.

The incident took place near Austin Street and 67th Road​ around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, police said.

Once inside the elevator, the suspect touched the victim's buttocks multiple times over her clothing, authorities said.

When the woman got off the elevator, the man fled, police said. 

The suspect, who was captured on surveillance video, is described as between 30 and 40 years old, 5-foot-7 to 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light brown sweater, blue jeans and gray sneakers. He also had glasses.
