EAST WILLIAMSBURG — A cyclist who'd fallen to the ground after ramming into an opening car door, got his $1,400 electric bike stolen while he was talking with the car's driver, police said.

The 22-year-old cyclist got up off the ground near the intersection of Bushwick Avenue and Boerum Street at around 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 23, and began speaking with the 25-year-old Pennsylvania woman who'd accidentally hit him while opening her car door, police said.

While the two talked, someone snuck up, snatched the cyclist's Arrow electric bicycle and disappeared with it, according to police.

No arrests had been made as of Thursday morning, police confirmed.
