CHELSEA — An artist who’s carved pumpkin versions of Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan has picked this year's presidential candidates as his next subjects.
Between 1 and 3 p.m. on Friday, “expert pumpkin carver” Hugh McMahon will carve the likenesses of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump onto a giant pumpkin inside the Chelsea Market at 75 Ninth Ave., the market said.
Last year, McMahon carved New York Mets mascot “Mr. Met” onto a pumpkin at the market.
McMahon has been carving "spectacular gourds and melons" since 1976, according to his website.
“Come watch Hugh McMahon during his hours-long process of bringing the giant squash to life with the most famous faces in politics today,” the market added.
