DONGAN HILLS — A woman was robbed by a pair who drove up next to her and threatened to hurt her, police said.

The 55-year-old victim was walking near Buel and Nugent avenues on Sept. 28 when a dark gray Chrysler pulled up next to her at 6:20 p.m., the NYPD said.

A woman got out of the car and demanded money from the victim, who refused, police said. A man then got out of the car and demanded cash.

When the victim refused a second time, the female suspect placed her hands beneath her scarf near her waist and asked her if she wanted to get hurt, police said.

The suspect then took the woman's bag — with a credit card and cellphone inside — and the pair drove east on Buel Avenue, police said.

Half an hour after the robbery, the woman's credit card was used to buy gas at Speedway at 951 Bay St., police said.

The female suspect is between 20 and 25 years old, 5-foot-4 and last seen wearing sunglasses, a light colored scarf, a dark colored long sleeve shirt, black pants and flip flops, the NYPD said.

The male suspect is between 20 and 25 years old, 5-foot-4 and was last seen wearing a white sweater, police said.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
