THE BRONX — One person was seriously hurt when a fire tore through the top floor of a Claremont home Monday night, officials said.

Flames erupted in the second floor of 241 Mount Eden Parkway, near Weeks Avenue, about 6 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

One person suffered serious injuries and was treated at Lincoln Medical Center, the spokesman said Tuesday morning.

A firefighter was also treated there for minor injuries, the spokesman said.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control about 7:38 p.m., FDNY officials said.

It wasn't immediately clear what sparked the fire.
