QUEENS — A 16-year-old was shot in the face on a Jamaica street early Sunday morning by three people in a possibly gang-related incident, police and sources said.

Police said that the suspects punched the victim numerous times before shooting him in the face around 2 a.m. on 90th Avenue, between 179th street and 179th Place, across the street from P.S. 95, officials said.

The teen was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition, authorities said.

As of Monday, investigators have not been able to talk to the victim because of his injuries, police said.

Authorities said they are looking for three suspects who were last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts. A photo depicting one of them was released Monday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
