DITMARS — An unknown gunman in a car opened fire at a crowd of people gathered outside an Astoria deli earlier this month, according to the NYPD.

The shots were fired from inside a black Chrysler at several people standing in front of Fatima Food Mart at 21-37 21st Ave. about 7 p.m. on Oct. 13, police said.

No one was injured in the shooting, and the gunman fled south on 23rd Street, according to police.

Fatima Food Mart has made headlines before — its owner was assaulted last year by a man who made anti-Muslim remarks during the attack, officials said at the time.

Anyone with information in regards to the shooting is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
