CONCOURSE — The victim of a robbery who chased after and caught up to the man who stole from him was repeatedly punched in the face by the suspect, police said.

The 45-year-old victim was inside 1050 Carroll Pl. on Oct. 15 around 6:20 p.m. when a man started talking to him, according to the NYPD.

The suspect then snatched his wallet and cell phone and fled, but the victim chased after and caught up to him in front of the building, where the suspect punched him several times, giving him a bloody nose and swollen lips, police said.

The victim suffered severe injuries to his face and went to Lincoln Hospital but has since been released, according to police.

Video shows the suspect running through the lobby of 1050 Carroll Pl.

Officers described the suspect as a man between roughly 20 and 25 years old who stands about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds and has black hair and a dark complexion.
