WOODSIDE — Police are searching for a man who snatched jewelry off the necks of two women as they were walking in the neighborhood in two separate incidents, according to the NYPD.

The suspect, who was on a bicycle during the first robbery, rode up behind a 47-year-old woman on Woodside Avenue and 72nd Street just before 11 a.m. on Sept. 28, ripped off her necklace and fled, police said.

He struck again on Oct. 4, when he approached a 53-year-old woman while she was walking on 45th Avenue shortly after 9 a.m. and pulled the jewelry off her neck, police said.

Neither victim was injured, according to police.

The suspect is believed to be between 30 and 35 years old, stands between 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, and was wearing a black jacket with a white stripe down the arm, dark pants and a gray baseball hat, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
