
MIDTOWN — Shoplifters stole $2,800 worth of makeup from the same CVS over a four-day span, police said, the NYPD said.
The first theft happened on Oct. 9 around 4:29 a.m., when a man walked into the store at 241 W. 57th St., near Eighth Avenue, and took $1,660 worth of cosmetics off the shelves, the NYPD said.
The suspect made off with 50 Revlon products worth $594, 10 Almay products worth $100, 31 Rimmel London products valued at $233, 50 Maybelline lipsticks valued at $425 and 20 L’Oreal products valued at $246, police said.
Three days later, two thieves entered the same store around 4:40 p.m. and stole 86 L’Oreal products valued at $1,204, the NYPD said.
In total, the shoplifters stole $2,864 worth of makeup, police said.
No one had been arrested in connection with the thefts as of Monday, the NYPD said.
A manager working at the CVS said she’d heard about the thefts but wasn’t at the store when they happened.
