LOWER EAST SIDE — Police are looking for an assailant they say slashed a man on the arm as he walked along Stanton Street Oct. 17.
The 28-year-old victim got into a verbal altercation with the suspect at around 6:30 a.m. in front of 15 Stanton St. near Chrystie Street, police said.
During the argument, the suspect pulled out an unidentified sharp object and slashed the man across the left forearm, according to authorities.
The victim was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in stable condition, police said.
Police released surveillance footage of the suspect, who was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
