MANHATTAN — A firefighter was seriously hurt along with 10 other people when flames tore through the top floor of a Hamilton Heights apartment building Thursday morning, officials said.

The fire broke out on the sixth-floor of 605 W. 141st St., near Broadway, just after 1 a.m., an FDNY spokesman said.

About 105 firefighters helped bring the fire under control shortly after 2:30 a.m., the spokesman said.

One of them suffered serious injuries, but was listed in stable condition, officials said.

Six civilians and four other firefighters were also treated for minor injuries.

They were all treated at area hospitals.

Fire marshals will determine what sparked the blaze, officials said.
