DONGAN HILLS — A group of teens broke into a car dealership, stole a vehicle from inside then crashed it into a nearby dumpster, prosecutors said.

Keir Bethea, 17, Kelvin Dennis, 17, and several other unapprehended suspects broke into Island Kia, at 1581 Hylan Blvd., sometime between Oct. 8 and Oct. 9, prosecutors said.

The group stole 57 keys and a Playstation 4, then got into a 2007 Hyundai Tucson and drove away, according to court papers. It's unclear what happened to the Tucson.

Bethea then got into a 2014 Kia Sorrento, drove it away and crashed it into a dumpster on a street near the dealership, according to his criminal complaint.

He was arrested on Oct. 10 and charged with burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal mischief, attempted grand larceny and attempted criminal possession of stolen property, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

His bail was set at $25,000 and he was also charged for robbery and grand larceny stemming from an incident in August, according to online court records.

Bethea's lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Dennis was arrested on Monday and charged with burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny at his arraignment, the DA said.

His bail was set at $10,000 and he was also charged with robbery and grand larceny from an August incident, according to online court records.

Dennis' lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
