MANHATTAN — A person was struck by an A train Tuesday morning after jumping in front of it in the Fulton Street subway station, authorities said.
The person, whose age and gender were not immediately released, was hit by the northbound A train about 7:45 a.m. in the station near Nassau Street, an FDNY spokesman said.
The commuter suffered serious injuries and was treated at Bellevue Hospital, the spokesman said. An MTA spokesman said the injured person jumped in front of the train.
A and C trains were disrupted for the beginning of the morning commute, but were running with regular service and some delays by 8:53 a.m., the MTA said.
