
CASTLETON CORNERS — A woman has died five days after her car collided with another vehicle in Staten Island, police said.
Melodee Gabler, 61, of Long Beach, New York, died at Richmond University Medical Center on Saturday after she crashed her 2013 Honda Civic into another car at Cromwell Avenue and Westcott Boulevard, the NYPD said.
Gabler was driving southbound on Cromwell Avenue on Oct. 10 when she crashed into a 2016 Hyundai Tucson traveling westbound on Westcott Boulevard at about 10:15 a.m., police said.
The 61-year-old driver of the Tucson refused medical attention, officials said.
Gabler was taken to Richmond University Medical Center where she remained until her death, police said.
No arrests were made in the incident, police said.
