SOHO — A man was struck across the face with a glass bottle on Canal Street, leaving him with a gash above his left eye, police said.
The 21-year-old victim told police he was followed by a man after the pair had a verbal dispute a block away on Grand Street near West Broadway, at about 4 a.m. on Oct. 9, according to a police report.
The victim said the man continued to harass him as he tried to walk away, but when he reached Canal Street near West Broadway, the attacker pushed him from behind. The assailant then hit his face with a glass bottle, cutting him above the eye.
Police were still investigating the incident.
