PARK SLOPE — Foodies can eat and drink their way through some of the neighborhood's best restaurants in a single night at the Food for Thought fundraising feast this Wednesday.

Hosted by the Park Slope Civic Council, the soiree serves up samples of food from nearly two dozen neighborhood eateries and local booze purveyors.

Participating restaurants this year include Park Slope institutions — Rose Water and al di la — as well as newcomers such as the Hong Kong-inspired Hey Hey Canteen and Italian restaurant Hugo & Sons.

Tickets are $75 and cover unlimited food and drink. Proceeds go toward college scholarships for students from high schools at the John Jay Educational Campus who've demonstrated a commitment to community service.

Last year's scholarship recipients were profiled in the video below.

Now in its fifth year, Food for Thought is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Park Slope Civic Council, in addition to the group's annual house tour. The Civic Council leads neighborhood beautification efforts, speaks out on local issues and advocates to expand Park Slope's historic districts.

Food for Thought is on Wednesday, Oct. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Prospect Park Picnic House. For more information and tickets, click here.
