CHELSEA — Police arrested a man they say made “anti-white statements” before slashing his victim’s wrist with a knife inside a Chelsea deli.

Jerry Bercy, 26, of Brooklyn, was charged with hate-crime assault, hate-crime menacing, hate-crime stalking and criminal possession of a weapon for the attack inside a Ninth Avenue deli early Sept. 23, police said.

The 40-year-old victim and his girlfriend were walking past 245 Ninth Ave., at the corner of West 25th Street, when they overheard Bercy say the word “white” along with some other words they couldn’t understand, the NYPD said.

Bercy then went after the couple after they changed course and slashed the victim’s wrist with a knife when the scuffle spilled into the deli, police said.

Video surveillance from inside the store captured the attack.
