WOODSIDE — Police are searching for a thief who followed a man to the door of his Queens apartment and swiped his wallet, according to the NYPD.
The man approached the 25-year-old victim shortly after midnight on Aug. 12 inside an apartment building on 48th Street and 47th Avenue, police said.
He came up from behind as the man was opening the door to his apartment, and took a wallet out of the victim's back pocket, according to police.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the incident which shows the thief grabbing the wallet and taking off.
The suspect is around 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 170 pounds, police said.
