
STATEN ISLAND — A teenager was held up at gunpoint in the middle of the afternoon on a residential street last month, police said.
The would-be thief pointed his gun at an 18-year-old man on the corner of Elizabeth Street and Forest Avenue around 4:40 p.m. on Sept. 6, police said.
He demanded the teenager hand over a necklace but fled in an unknown direction when the teen refused, according to police.
Surveillance footage captured an image of the suspect, whom police describe as a man in his 20s, standing 5-foot-8, weighing about 165 pounds and last seen wearing a black baseball cap.
