MIDTOWN — A knife fight on an uptown-bound A train ended with one man injured and express trains rerouted to local lines on Thursday before rush hour, officials said.

The knife fight occurred on an A train at the 42nd Street-Port Authority train station at 3:30 p.m., according to MTA and FDNY spokesmen.

The victim was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, said the FDNY. His condition was not immediately known.

The MTA alerted passengers to expect rush hour delays on the A, B, C, D and F lines after northbound A trains were rerouted to local lines between West 4th Street and Columbus Circle.

Express A train service had resumed by 4:50 p.m., according to an MTA announcement.
