GRASMERE — A man cashed a check stolen from a Staten Island Jewish organization, police said.
The suspect stole a blank check from the nonprofit Staten Island Jewish Heritage Network, made it out to cash and deposited it at the Santander Bank at 1320 Hylan Blvd. on Sept. 9 at about 4 p.m., the NYPD said.
Police did not say how much money he took.
The man is described as being in his mid 70s and was wearing eye glasses.
The Staten Island Jewish Heritage Network is a nonprofit education group which runs the Staten Island Hebrew Academy in Graniteville, according to its Facebook page and the school's website.
