WILLIAMSBURG — He took the party home and woke up with an expensive hangover.

A man who invited home three strangers he'd met at a bar promptly fell asleep, but awoke hours later to find the trio had stolen his credit card, a $5,000 Rolex and $3,000 worth of other jewelry, police said.

A day after the Aug. 14 incident, surveillance camera footage captured three men trying to use the man's stolen credit card to buy around $1,400 in goods from different stores on 125th Street in Harlem, according to police.

The purchases were all declined, including $750 they tried to spend the clothing store Ballers USA, police said.

The 34-year-old victim's first met the men while out drinking in a bar near his home at the intersection of Bedford Avenue and North 12th Street, according to police.

"The person was out of it," a police spokesman said, adding he was "probably intoxicated."
