EAST HARLEM — A cab driver was shot in the hand on First Avenue Wednesday after getting into a fare dispute with a passenger, police sources said.

The green cab driver was shot outside of 2369 First Ave., near 121st Street, about 9:05 a.m., police and fire officials said.

The 56-year-old man, who was not publicly identified, was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.

The gunman, believed to be in his 20s, fled wearing a black jacket and jeans, police said.
