CLAREMONT VILLAGE — He went to fix a flat tire but ended up flat broke.

The 61-year-old driver had parked his car in front of a tire shop at 3521 3rd Ave. in the South Bronx to fix a flat, but when he came back to his vehicle, an envelope holding $9,500, which he stashed under the driver's side visor was gone, police said.

The door that the two suspects used to get inside the car and steal the money had been left unlocked and unattended, according to the NYPD.

Officers described one suspect as a 30- to 40-year-old woman who stands 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 150 to 160 pounds, has black hair and was wearing a white tank top, black shoes and black pants.

They described the other suspect as a 30- to 40-year-old man who stands between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 190 to 200 pounds and was last seen in a gray T-shirt, white sneakers, white shorts, sunglasses and a blue hat.
