HELL’S KITCHEN — A teen boy walking home from school was stabbed by a group of older individuals he didn't know in what police say was a gang-related attack.

The 15-year-old victim was walking home from school on West 49th Street, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue, around 4 p.m. on Sept. 27 when he was attacked by “multiple” people, the NYPD said.

At some point, the victim was stabbed in the lower back and right arm, police said.

The boy, whose school was not disclosed, told police he didn’t recognize his assailants. They were older than him and didn’t attend his school, according to authorities.

A knife was recovered at the scene, the NYPD said. The extent of the teen's injuries was unclear.

The incident is believed to have been related to the Latin Kings gang, a police report indicated, without providing further information about the motivation.

A city Department of Education spokeswoman confirmed that emergency workers responded to a “non-school related incident” that took place after dismissal time in Manhattan.

“The safety and security of students and staff is our top priority,” she said in a statement, referring further questions to the NYPD because the incident did not take place at the school.
