MANHATTAN — Trains along the 7 line were briefly suspended between Queens and Manhattan Monday morning because a train with mechanical problems at Fifth Avenue, the MTA said.
Trains were suspended about 8 a.m. but resumed regular service approximately an hour later with "extensive delays," officials said.

The MTA initially reported that service was disrupted because of FDNY activity.
They later amended their report, saying a train was having mechanical problems.
It wasn't immediately clear when normal service would resume.
