Death of Woman in Owl's Head Park Ruled a Homicide

BROOKLYN — The death of a woman found in Owl's Head Park in Bay Ridge Thursday morning was ruled a homicide, officials said.

Jennifer Cohen, 35, was discovered by a jogger inside the park around 10 a.m. Thursday, unconscious with head trauma near Colonial Road and Wakeman Place, her pocketbook and other belongings found nearby, police said.

A spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office on Saturday said the cause of death was blunt impact injuries of the head and torso, and that the death was ruled a homicide.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
