SUNSET PARK — A 40,000 square-foot co-working space with a gym, outdoor courtyard and coffee bar is slated to open in Sunset Park on Nov. 1.

Camp David — a name more famously associated with the presidential retreat in Maryland — is currently under construction at 237 36th St. in Industry City and will span three floors of the warehouse building, according to co-founders Erez Shternlicht and Mazdack Rassi, the duo behind Milk Studios.

The center comes with three kinds of workspaces — private offices priced at $800 per month for larger teams of about six people, assigned desks at $550 per month for individuals and small teams and floating desks at $40 for part-time users in an open work area.

There will also be conference rooms, an office manager or "concierge" on site, phone rooms, a copy center and a mail room.

Shternlicht said they chose Industry City, which they consider "a neighborhood of its own within Sunset Park," because it is "a site of inspiration and productivity for the existing 5k modern makers and manufacturers that come here everyday," he told DNAinfo via email.

He also said they will have the option of expanding Camp David to nearly 300,000 square feet within Industry City in the future.

They are currently accepting applications for workspaces.
