MOTT HAVEN — A pair of identical twins teamed up to beat a couple in a South Bronx subway station, police said Friday.

Darnell and Terrell Brown, both 25 and from the Bronx, began harassing a 28-year-old woman on the 149th Street-Grand Concourse subway platform at 5:50 a.m. on Sept. 5, according to the NYPD.

The woman’s boyfriend tried to protect her but one brother put him in a headlock so that the other could punch him in the face and body, police said.

When the woman tried to intervene, one twin punched her in the face so hard she was knocked unconscious and fell to the ground, said police.

The brothers fled the station and the couple were treated for cuts on their faces at Lincoln Hospital, according to police.

Darnell Brown, who appears in the video wearing braids and a t-shirt with “No Bad Vibes” written across the front, was arrested and charged with four counts of assault, police said.

But police were still searching for Terrell, whom police describe as standing 5-foot-10 and weighing about 165 pounds with short hair, as of Friday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
