QUEENS — A thief stole two debit cards and withdrew more than $1,000 from the owners’ accounts at two different Queens Citibanks in July and August, police said Wednesday.

The suspect first withdrew $503 from the Citibank on Main Street near 38th Avenue around 10 p.m. on July 15, police said.

The debit card thief next appeared in a Citibank on the corner of Austin Street and 71st Avenue where he withdrew $520 at 11 a.m. on Aug. 7, according to the NYPD

Both victims, a 53-year-old man and a 35-year-old man, reported the thefts about a week after the respective withdrawals occurred when they noticed them on their bank statements, police said.

Surveillance footage at the two Citibanks captured images of the man.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)
