HARLEM — A 6-year-old boy who was covered in bruises and had a head contusion died after his mother took him to a hospital, police said.
Zymere Perkins was found unconscious at 606 West 135 St. at 2:43 p.m. on Monday, police said.
Police received a 911 call regarding Zymere, but when they arrived at his home, they found he'd been taken by his mother to St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said there were multiple bruises on the boy's body.
Police said there had been no arrests as of Tuesday morning.
