UPPER EAST SIDE — Police are searching for several men involved in an organized identity theft operation that stole more than $19,000 from 17 victims using their credit card information.

The men used stolen credit card numbers to make $19,063 in withdrawals from banks around the city between Aug. 18 and Sept. 2, according to authorities.

Withdrawals were made at various Citi Banks, TD banks, 7-Elevens and CVS pharmacies in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island, police said.

In at least once incident, the suspects used a skimmer at an ATM to collect the credit card information, police said. But it was not immediately clear where they installed the skimmer.

Police released surveillance photos showing men wearing shorts, hats and flip-flops.

Anyone with information in regards to this case is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
