By Ben Fractenberg | September 26, 2016 11:28am

QUEENS — A homeless man was killed after walking onto a third rail at the 75th Street J train station, disrupting service on Monday morning, officials said.

The man, who was described as emotionally disturbed, walked onto the tracks at Jamaica Avenue and 75th Street at about 9:54 a.m., the NYPD and FDNY said.

The man was killed immediately and J train service was briefly halted between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center in both direction, according to the MTA’s website.

Riders were advised to take the Q24 or Q56 bus for alternative service.

Service has resumed with residual delays, according to the MTA.

Police did not yet have information on the person’s identity, an NYPD spokesman said.
