WESTERLEIGH — A pair of burglars broke into several Staten Island businesses and stole cash and cellphones, prosecutors said.

From July to September, Juan Carmona, 40, and Wayne Lowery, 50, broke into five stores in Westerleigh and Port Richmond, according to court records.

Between July 2 and July, the pair made a hole in the wall of Kings Pizzeria and Restaurant, at 2212 Victory Blvd., and stole cash from inside, authorities said.

Prosecutors said the other incidents include:

► The pair pried open the back door of Mother Pug's Saloon, at 1371 Forest Ave., between July 24 and July and stole cash.

► Between Aug. 14 and Aug. 15 they broke a side window of Michelangelo's Pizza, at 860 Post Ave., and stole cash.

► The pair pried open the rear door of HMM Grocery, at 189 Port Richmond Ave., on Sept. 2 at about 3 a.m. and stole cash.

► On Sept. 19, between 1 and 3 a.m., the pair cut a hole in the roof of the Metro PCS at 1686 Forest Ave., Apt. D, and stole cash, cellphones and accessories from inside.

They were arrested on Tuesday and charged with burglary at their arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

Carmona's bail was set at $50,000 and his lawyer did not want to comment on the case.

Lowery's bail was set at $100,000 and his lawyer did not respond to a request for comment.
