Man Attacked With Brick and Robbed in South Bronx, Police Say

LONGWOOD — A thief hit a 68-year-old man in the head with a brick and robbed him in the South Bronx, police said.

The attack happened on Sept. 18 near 1028 Hoe Ave. around 3:15 a.m., as the victim was walking home from work, according to the NYPD.

The suspect went up to the victim and hit him in the head with a brick, knocking him to the ground, before fleeing with his cell phone and wallet, police said.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The attacker was seen wearing black sneakers, an orange track jacket and a camouflage black bag and hat, according to authorities.
