CHELSEA — Police arrested a man who used a homophobic slur and threatened to shoot another man inside a Chelsea subway station, the NYPD said.

The 34-year-old man was arguing with two women inside the subway station at West 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue around 3 a.m. on Sept. 18 when a 55-year-old man confronted him and told him to leave them alone, police said.

‘F--- you, f----t, I have a gun, and I’m going to shoot you,” the 34-year-old told the man, according to police.

Feeling like he was in danger, the 55-year-old man called the police, the NYPD said.

When officers arrived, they found the 34-year-old man on the subway platform, police said.

The 55-year-old man identified the 34-year-old, and he was arrested for menacing, the NYPD said.
