MIDTOWN — The NYPD has received more than 400 calls for suspicious packages since the Chelsea bombing Saturday night, police said.

Authorities received 406 calls between 8:30 p.m. Saturday, just after a bomb exploded on Sixth Avenue and 23rd Street, and 4 p.m. Monday.

The NYPD averages 90 to 100 suspicious package calls on a typical day, the New York Daily News reported.

There were at least three investigations of suspicious packages on Tuesday, two of which were less than a mile from the Chelsea bombing.

Bombing suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami was arrested Monday near his home in New Jersey after a shootout with police.

His father, Mohammad Rahami, said Tuesday that he told the FBI in 2014 his son was “a terrorist” after the accused bomber was arrested for a domestic violence incident.
