Man Who Randomly Stabbed Woman in East Harlem Building Arrested, Police Say

HARLEM — A man accused of randomly stabbing a woman in the leg in East Harlem has been arrested, according to the NYPD.

Ryan Watson, 31, was charged with assault for the attack that happened in an apartment building, police said.

Watson was caught on video surveillance following the 58-year-old victim into the residential building at 161 E. 110 St. on Wednesday and stabbing her in the right thigh with a sharp object in the building’s doorway, police said.

The victim suffered a puncture wound to her right thigh as well as small lacerations, police said. She was treated at Mt. Sinai Hospital.
