BROOKLYN — A cyclist was critically injured when he was hit by a Jeep that fled the scene Thursday night, police said.

The 43-year-old was riding west on Fulton Street when he was hit near Tompkins Avenue about 10 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said Friday morning.

The dark Jeep that hit him fled the scene, the spokesman said. There were no immediate arrests.

The cyclist suffered head injuries and was treated at Kings County Hospital where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
