SOUTH STREET SEAPORT — A food festival and school fundraiser is headed back to the Seaport.

Now in its seventh year, the Taste of the Seaport event features small plates from more than 40 restaurants who donate their time — and food — to raise money for the Peck Slip and Spruce Street schools.

The outdoor foodie fest, which sets up along cobble-stoned Front Street, is slated for Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Tickets, on sale here, are $35 for five "tastes" or $125 for a family pack of 20.

Restaurants participating this year include local favorites Da Claudio, Nelson Blue and Fresh Salt.

The festival also includes live music and family friendly activities.

All the proceeds will support the schools' music, art and physical education programs.
